Error Dialogs

There may be times when the program runs into an error that it cannot handle by itself. There could be a problem with QuickBooks®, such as a company file not being open, or a dialog window being open in QuickBooks® that prevents the CCRQ program from proceeding. It could be a problem with the information in your company file, or that you don’t have adequate permission levels to perform the selected operation. It could be (gasp!) a programming problem with the CCRQ application itself.

If an error occurs you will see an error dialog window similar to the following:

The message gives you a brief description of the problem in the top part, and in some cases some cryptic information that has meaning to our technical support staff. The bottom portion of the screen has some very technical detailed information that would help our support staff if they are looking at the information.

If you are confronted with an error dialog like this and the message does not describe the problem clearly enough, you can contact our technical support department via email at support@ccrsoftware.com. The details of the error are saved in a file named “Error.PDF” that is stored in the location noted in the window. It would be very helpful if you can provide us with a detailed description of what you were doing at the time, and send a copy of this PDF file.

You can click the Continue button to proceed – the program may tell you that it cannot perform the required operation.
