Changing the Appearance

You can resize this window by clicking on the lower right corner and dragging it to where you want. If you want to save this setting, click the Layout button in the lower left and select Save Layout. These changes will be saved on the local workstation (and so will not affect other users).

There are a number of other changes you can make, which we will briefly review here. The methods that you can use to change the appearance of this window are described in detail in the Working with Grids chapter.

Clicking on a column heading will sort the components by the value in that column within the level of the assembly. A small arrow will appear next to the column heading. The example below sorts the items by component.

You can change the width of the columns by dragging the column separators in the heading.

You can change the order of the columns by dragging the column headings to the new location.

You can select which columns to display by right clicking on the headings to open a menu, and then selecting the Column Chooser.

When you select the Column Chooser a “Customization” window will appear. You can drag headings to this window to remove them from the display, or drag them from this window to the display to add them.
